Most of the local printers in Colorado Springs won’t print your photos without a release form from the photographer. Lucky for you I provide this form with every shoot. That means that you don’t have to return to me each time you want a new print. All of your photos are provided on CD or DVD along with the release form, allowing you to print them any time and anywhere you want.
There are hundreds of secrets for capturing your best side in a photo. Most people feel that they aren’t photogenic and this just isn’t true. The real secret to a great portrait is comfort and confidence. If you feel uncomfortable there is nothing that the photographer can do that will keep that from showing in the photo.
I’ve found that the first 10 minutes of any shoot can be very uncomfortable for some people who aren’t used to having a camera pointed at them. I keep this in mind with every shoot and I’ll keep shooting until you get used to the camera and become comfortable.
Here are several tips that you can use to help create the type of portrait that you want.
Internet printing has become a big success in recent years and allows flexibility and options that the average person simply couldn’t afford 20 years ago. Everything from calendars with photos of your family to cups and t-shirts can be easily and affordably purchased over the internet with your own personal image on them.
These are some of my favorite internet printing sites.
Photo Editing Resources
Today most people have a home computer with some type of photo editing software installed. Many of my customers want to be able to edit their own photos and print them anywhere and any time that they want. Most photographers retain the rights to the photos, which can make it very difficult for you to get prints made. I provide a photographers release form with every shoot, which allows you to make as many copies as you like and print them anywhere you want. Below is a list of great photo editing software that can make your time with your photos more enjoyable and help you to share your images with the people you love.

Not all photographers are created equal. There are some absolutely amazing photographers in this area and most of them don’t get the credit that they deserve. I don’t believe that artistic expression should be a competitive arena. I believe in sharing knowledge and resources as much as possible. If I know a photographer who can do a better job with a particular portrait style I’ll recommend them. With that in mind, here is a list of local photographers (in no particular order) that you may want to take a look at. I’m confident that once you see their work and their prices you will be able to make the best decision for your portraits. This list of local resources is for reference only. I am not currently affliated with any of these photographers.
